About the job

Serve as the on-site manager at MAMC and represent HHI in performing all duties to ensure
compliance with the MAMC PWS and healthcare housekeeping and related services
standards and requirements. Responsible for monitoring all aspects of the services performed
in the Housekeeping Department. Plans, organizes, coordinates, conducts and evaluates
work performance in terms of staff relations, customer service, and efficiency of the
Housekeeping Department. Analyzes and determines personnel requirements and problem
solving. Responsible for the administrative functions of Housekeeping Department and
personnel. Establishes effective lines of communication with KO, COR, HHI Corporate,
housekeeping personnel, and all MAMC divisions, departments, units, sections, etc. Ensures
that the Housekeeping Department meets or exceeds all the required standards of TJC,
OSHA, ADA, HHS, NFPA, EPA, etc. Plans, implements and evaluates on-the-job training, inservice education, continuing education of all Housekeeping Department personnel as well
as orientation of newly assigned personnel. Researches and evaluates equipment and
supplies for purchase and use in the Housekeeping Department. Provides a safe, clean,
healthy environment for housekeeping personnel. Gives guidance for career and personal
growth of all Housekeeping Department personnel. Performs professional and administrative
functions independently with only minimal guidance reporting administratively to the HHI
Director, KO and COR.

Requirements

  • Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Professional (CHESP), AHA/AHE or Certified or  Registered Environmental Services Executive (C/RESE), IEHA

  • Minimum of 5 years of housekeeping experience with a minimum of 2 years of specific  hospital housekeeping experience directly managed and performed in an MTF of  comparable size and service as MAMC. 

  • Proven teaching, communication, managerial, organizational and leadership skills 

  • Other education/experience substituted for above requirements with approval
